January was a very good month: 20 starts, 5 wins, 5 seconds, 3 thirds. The goal for 2010 was set audaciously high by my racing manager/critic/website writer – 50 wins for the year. We made short-term goals, five wins every month (with a little leeway).
So far, so good.
Bill and Vicky Poston's Breezy Does It gave us our second victory of 2011 in the finale at Penn National. Joe Farley had the call; sent off as the favorite the small West Acre filly sat just behind early speed until the three-eighths pole and galloped to the front, widening her lead to 8 lengths at the wire.
